Family Workers or Parent Partners provide home-based parenting training via the evidence-based SafeCare curriculum. Research has shown that SafeCare is effective in helping improve parent/child relationships and in maintaining child safety and well-being. Parents learn how to positively interact with their children, respond to their children’s health/medical needs, learn to identify hazards and maintain a safe home.
Who is eligible: Shasta County at-risk families with children ages 0 to 5 years.
