Pre-Approval is available to those with an application on file and interested in becoming a Resource Family home with the county. Classes are held at 1401 California Street, Redding CA 96001. Registration is required prior to attendance. Please contact: (530) 225-3796 to register.

RFA Training Series – Information on caring for children that have experienced trauma and are involved with the child welfare system. Topics include care of substance exposed children, trauma and attachment, challenging behaviors, and much more. This series is 39 training hours over thirteen days – to be completed within the first year of approval.. This schedule is subject to change.

TBRI Caregiver Training – Trust Based Relational Intervention is an attachment-based, trauma- informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI is connection. TBRI Caregiver Training is 21 hours over seven days.
