Become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)

Become a Court Appointed Special Advocate through CASA of Shasta County. CASA of Shasta County is a non-profit organization that trains and mobilizes community volunteers to advocate and make a difference for abused and neglected children in foster care. They stand up for them. Speak up for them. Champion without compromise for what’s in their best interest.

CASA volunteers visit the child, monitor and advocate for progress with the social worker on the case plan, interact with professionals, submit reports to the court and make recommendations to the court. Volunteers focus on educational needs, permanent placement, medical treatment, and other resources necessary for a successful future.

Being a CASA volunteer is rewarding and meaningful. It’s a great way to “give back” to your community and make a life-long difference for very vulnerable children!
